Thousand Worlds series

Tiger Honor

After the Haetae departs for Norandol, Ensign Hak brings her two new cadets to be sworn in. She takes out her sword and says that by swearing themselves to the Space Forces, they are placing their complete loyalty in the Thousand Worlds. She swears in Jee but before she can swear in Sebin, an explosion occurs and she orders them to their battle stations. She is attacked by Juhwang Hwan and brought to the medical bay.

After the intruders are taken care of, she questions Sebin in their involvement in the attempted takeover. A few days later before Hwan is handed over, she calls Sebin to her office to say they will be docking shortly and to be truthful. She, Commander Ae, and An Mun-Hee are among the tribunal passing judgment on Sebin and Hwan. After Sebin is allowed back on the Haetae after medical leave, she swears them into the Space Forces.

Fox Snare

After an uneventful escort mission, Chaewon is informed that a member of the Dragon Council, Gwan, and their apprentice Haneul will be boarding the Haetae before being escorted to the diplomatic party on Ssangyong. She calls Sebin to her office and informs them that Special Investigator Yi has requested they act as Haneul's bodyguard. She also informs Sebin that Min will be there as she is the Bearer of the Dragon Pearl. Chaewon further explains they were chosen to keep an eye on Haneul both because the two are close in age and that the Dragon Council and Space Forces been at odds with each other recently. She dismisses Sebin and, an hour later, Gwan and Haneul arrive, she and Ensign Hak escort Gwan to their cabin while Jee and Sebin stay with Hanuel. Five days later, upon reaching Ssangyong, she learns that that Dak-Ho and Yui- two cadets known to create mischief- have abandoned their badges and disembarked to the station, stating they were to escort the Bearer of the Dragon Pearl. Captain Chaewon tasks Sebin and Haneul with finding the rogue cadets and the pair agree.

After the party gets disrupted, she and Haneul find Sebin growling and threatening to attack the two and they restrain the tiger spirit. When Sebin wakes up, she asks them what happened. Sebin explains that the last thing they remember is being blocked from entering the party as they did not have an invitation and they blurt out Min's fox spirit status and that she used charm to ease the panic. The captain and Haneul reveal they are aware of what Min is and state the Domestic Security Ministry will sort things out. The pair tell Sebin they found the tiger spirit growling and threatening to attack them. Sebin apologizes and is released. Chaewon states Dak-Ho and Yui have been aprihended and are awaiting punishment before ordering Sebin and Haneul back to the ship. Afterwards, she takes the Haetae- alongside representatives from the Sun Clan to the disputed planet Jasujeong. Before setting out, she shows Min maps of the planet to prepare her for the task at hand. After days along the journey, she is in a meeting when Sebin and Min try to speak with her and she tells Sebin to report back the following day.

A few days later, she summons Sebin to her office. She tells the cadet that once the representatives from the Thousand Worlds and Sun Clan reach Jasujeong, they will be part of the landing party. After revealing their relative Juhwang Hasun got them into the position, Sebin expresses their confusion as to why this is happening. The captain reveals that, after their uncle's attempted takeover and the revelation of their family’s dealings, many tiger spirits have felt the actions have tarnished their species name and Sebin realizes they are meant to save face and be a positive representation for their species. Sebin accepts the mission and is dismissed. A few days later, she finds Sebin and Min outside her office. Min asks to see maps of their destination again. However, she states the maps and the names of those authorized to look at them are classified. Min thanks Chaewon and the two leave.

The Haetae reaches Asa-Achim, a space station orbiting Jasujeong. A boarding party consisting of Sebin, Chaewon, Gwan, Haneul, Miho, Min, and Silhouette step onto the station and are greeted by Ambassador Tanaka and Administrator Ajin. The ambassador and administrator show the representatives from the Thousand Worlds around and the group reaches a banquet hall with food from both the Thousand Worlds and Sun Clans. As everyone eats, an explosion occurs and Ajin orders everyone to the escape pods. She and several others make it to the escape pods and spend the next two weeks in a state of hibernation until being rescued by the Sejong-Daewang.

The Sejong-Daewang reaches Ssangyong and Captain Chaewon and Ambassador Tanaka request to dock. Due to the sheer size of the ship, the station is incapable of accommodating the Sejong-Daewang and a shuttle is used. The captain permits Sebin, Haneul, and Min to go to the docking bay to hand Miho, the saboteur, over to the government.
